The Relationship Support Line® (RSL)
The RSL is a support network of professional psychologists, psychiatrists and counselors who volunteer their time and expertise to provide a listening ear and a caring heart to callers and online visitors. The Relationship Support Line is a free service available to the public whenever Matters of the Heart is live on the air.
The Relationship Support Chat Line allows online visitors to privately and confidentially post their thoughts and questions and to have them answered by a counselor. Learn more about our Resident Counselors.
Chat Online with a Counselor
++ Please note that our partner counselors provide a public (free) service only during the allotted times. As a result, counseling services provided outside of The Relationship Support Line or Online Chat will most likely have a charge. That fee would be consistent with the individual or organization's counseling rates. The My Heart Matters Group of Projects is not a part of that process and will not charge or receive monies.
Free Counseling is offered by the Community Counseling Assessment Centre and the Adolescent Health Center. The Christian Counseling Center charges a fee on a sliding scale. If you are uncomfortable with your experience in any way, please contact us directly.

Commentary By KJ
Most, if not, all of us want to be loved. Not just the intimate bond between a husband and wife but the wholesome feeling of knowing that someone cares for and truly values you the person. That something that money can't pay for.
Talented Bahamian singer Ancient Man echoed the sentiments I ainâ't askin for much and reggae singer Buju Banton reinforced the point in the words of one of his songs, "I want to be loved, with no strings attached..real love."
But what is real love? Certainly, we're not only talking about the love between a husband and wife. Love has many forms of expression. So how do you know when you are giving or receiving it? Would a parent who loves his or her child slap that child in the face and call it discipline? Would a man who treasures the woman in his life "play the field"? Would a woman who loves her man call him stupid or other demeaning names? What is real love? Post your definition below.
